Paris 2012: Mercedes SLS AMG Electric Drive

At Geneva in 2011, Mercedes showed an electric version of their SLS - the SLS AMG E-Cell [link] - which was an eye-shattering luminous yellow-green. Now, a year and a half later, we see another take on the electric SLS, the SLS AMG electric drive, which is now a much more pleasing shiny blue. The difference? This is apparently production ready and due to go on sale in the middle of next year for a cool half million dollars apiece (that's about £350,000 to us Brits). For that hefty sum you get what is claimed to be currently the most powerful production electric vehicle in the world, packing a not inconsiderable 750hp. Range has been quoted around the 150 mile mark, but I'd wager that's not while constantly using the full 750hp!

This is a bit of a poster shot attempt on the car, showcasing the vehicle and manufacturer logo on the angled wall that they were mounted on. It didn't come out as nicely as I'd hoped, but with limited time to grab the shot on a very busy stand, I'm not too displeased.
